Jennie Peters

Medical Director

My goal is always to take the time to listen to each client. I treat the "whole person" by empathizing and applying my knowledge but arriving at a plan together (provider/client). I will never rush through consultation and ensure that all your questions are answered.

 

I intentionally have longer appointment times for all clients. Using evidence-based practice and maintaining patient safety is of utmost importance when assisting clients with their medications.

 

Working as a team is also one of my most significant philosophies. Collaboration with the client to develop the best plan is, in my opinion, the most effective method for achieving mental health. 

 

I have been living in Kenosha since 1999. I have 5 grown children, so my husband and I are living life with two dogs and two cats, and six grandchildren who bring me all smiles! Since 2014, my husband and I have led medical mission missions in Central America.

 

We also enjoy traveling around the United States in our RV. For fun, I like to read, crochet, play cards, and play piano.

Erin Mottinger

Wellness Director

My goal is to take my experience as a mental health provider to help my patients understand how to become truly healthy, inside and out. As a breast cancer patient, I can personally relate to how it feels when your body is working against you. This could be achieving weight loss, managing age, or general self acceptance.

 

Our relationship with food and our self-image develops as young children. The voice in our heads that tells us how we should feel about ourselves is created over time by the people we experience throughout our lives. Having a healthy relationship with ourselves is rooted in both mental and physical health.

 

However, I believe that in order to achieve true physical health, we have to address our mental/emotional health. If we don't, those negative voices and dysfunctional thought patterns will continue to impact our ability to have a healthy body.

 

It is my goal to help all my patients find self-love, acceptance, and be their healthiest selves. There is no one-size-fits-all model for this. I take an individualized approach to help my patients achieve personal goals.

I enjoy helping my clients achieve health and wellness goals. I started my career in behavioral health and quickly identified that I wanted to expand my skill set to include alternative forms of care. I have been practicing hypnotherapy for almost 10 years.

I started my medical career in Medical Assisting. I learned that I loved the medical field and helping people achieve their best quality of life. I decided to return to school to earn my bachelors degree in nursing. I have worked in family practice, home health, corrections, and behavioral health. Going back to get my nursing degree was the best decision I've ever made!

My career as a personal trainer started years ago after my own weight loss journey. I am a certified Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer, and a behavior change specialist. I have been training and teaching fitness for 17 years and coaching nutrition for 3 years. My philosophy is 'strong, not skinny' and I bring a personalized approach to client care.
